Stop and smell the roses

Smoke smells the roses

Smoke was so fascinated with this bunch of roses. He kept pawing at the cellophane wrapper. I thought maybe it was the scrunchy noise that attracted him.

When I took the wrapper off, I saw that the stems were rubber banded together.

Rubber bands! Smokie's favorite toy. How did he know they were there, under all that wrapping?

Of course I gave the rubber bands to him, which started a lively game of "Kill that rubber band, and rip the house apart while you're chasing it."
