These 9-10" bones are a lot larger than I imagined. We had previously been giving our 1 year old shepherd mix puppy 7-8" grocery store bones which she'd have in pieces before we turned around and eat completely in one night just from some periodic nibbling. She prances around like she is the queen for an hour or so when we give her one of these, then chews it 24/7 until it is gone. She can get through one completely in about 3 days, which is faster than we were hoping for. Not cheap at this rate, about the same as the grocery/pet store ones, but she is busy 24/7 rather than just a few hours here & there. It is better than having to remember to constantly give her new grocery store ones or end up with toys and other things chewed up whenever we weren't fast enough with the next one.

These things are great for keeping your dogs busy for a long time..They are one piece. It takes an aggressive chewer to destroy this thing. And that will take days.. Other bones, like the ones you get off the shelf, will be in a couple of pieces in a matter if minutes. Then you have to monitor the dog so it doesn't swallow the pieces whole. Money well spent here..
These heavy weight bones are just what we needed for Katie, our Cocker Spaniel. Even at 9 years old, she is an aggressive rawhide bone chewer and we needed a bone that would last longer than one day. Also, we wanted a bone made in the USA, not in China. We will continue to order these bones for her!
Finally a Rawhide bone that my dog does not finish in an hour it lasts , about a week still alot left , gave up on right now willl give him a new one in a couple of weeks , store bought one are way to soft and most are not made in the USA , I would recommend these to Dogs who really like to chew

Not what I would call a heavy weight bone. My GSD really will not even chew on it. She tried one and chewed one knot off in a little over 2 min. and has not touched it in 3 days. Will not try a new bone either. I was looking for super heavyweight rawhide sticks or retriever rolls like Foster and Smith had before Petco bought them out. Can't find them. These bones aren't for my 80lb. GSD.
